Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) Tax Advantage
Charging an EV at a workplace charger is not a Benefit-in-Kind for the employee, so there is no additional income tax or National Insurance liability. Employer-provided EV charging is therefore a highly tax-efficient staff benefit compared to fuel cards or mileage payments — and more valued by employees with EVs.
